Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) SCRA Exam Pattern : In this Exam there are Two Part Part I is Objective type Question only and Part II is Personality Test. The e-Admission Certificate will be made available on the UPSC website for being downloaded by candidates

The selected candidates were required to appear in the Mechanical Engineering Degree Examination held by Engineering Council (London). After completion of four years of training, the candidates join as Indian Railway Services of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) Officers in Indian Railways.

UPSC conducts examination for selection of candidates for appointment as Special Class Railway Apprentices in Mechanical  Department of Indian Railways. Easy Harmonic movement. The papers in all the subjects will consist of Objective (multiple choice answer) Type questions only.The Question Papers (Test Booklets) will be set in English only.There will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked in the Objective Type Question Paper.
